Welcome to the home of Villiersdorp Co-op.
This is still a true farming co-op where a bit of everything is handled in a diverse setting such as the Theewaterskloof Valley. It’s a place where people still have time to stop for a chat, where producers meet regularly and where the co-op is the heart of the farming community. Being a primary agricultural co-operative, VILKO’s board made a sound decision to remain a cooperative as we believe it is the best business form to serve the interest of our farmer members.
Villiersdorp Co-op headquarters is situated in the little Overberg town of Villiersdorp in the picturesque Theewaterskloof Valley, about 100 km from Cape Town. Main roads connect Villiersdorp with neighbour towns, Worcester, Caledon, Franschhoek and Grabouw.
Villiersdorp is unique for the well known Theewaterskloof Dam, the seventh largest dam in South Africa and the largest in the Western Cape. It is the main water supply for the Cape Town metropolitan area and of course also feeds the farming community of Villiersdorp with water.
